The Warranty Administrator is responsible for processing warranty claims, providing customer service and ensuring that all paperwork is correct and completed appropriately. Responsibilities will include the verification of all criteria as required by the vendor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process warranty claims on a timely basis ensuring paperwork is complete.
  • Provide customer service regarding warranty inquiries and service.
  • Verify criteria required by the factory or distributor and files/maintains all service and customer records as required by the warrantor.
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule.
  • Follow up on payment of outstanding claims.
  • Track warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement.
  • Maintain all service and customer records as required by the warrantor.
  • Cross trained as Service Advisor – service counter backup.
  • Determine customer requirements in accordance with manufacturer service policy and check warranty eligibility for repairs in the computerized service system.
  • Create repair orders in the business system. Process and close repair orders daily.

Requirements: *

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
  • One year service experience.
  • Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience preferred.
  • Competency in the following areas required, customer service, administrative skills, team building, proficiency with software and computers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Valid driver's license and Drivers Abstract.
