Role Summary

The Hemming Engineer will work with our Program Management team, across multiple automotive assembly programs, executing hem studies and flange recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute hem studies.
  • Hemming snap studies and flange recommendations.
  • Compare and analyze old versus new level CAD data, highlight changes and issues.
  • Develop and maintain Massiv standard tooling library and documentation.
  • Small engineering studies from concept through to final manufacturing drawings.
  • Support shop floor assembly, feedback and buy offs.
  • Support customer hemming and project meetings.
  • Release drawing packages and purchased component ordering.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree/Diploma/ Certificate of Qualification and/ or applicable design experience
  • Minimum 3 years CAD, Catia V5 and Unigraphics NX experience
  • Mechanical design and detailing experience.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Power Point and ACAD
  • Automotive assembly and Body-in-White experience
  • Hemming experience an advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
