Title: Receiving Quality Assurance Technician
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager
Overall Responsibilities:
The key role of the Quality Control Technician Receiving is to ensure Capsule Factory products received are sampled, tested and received with proper documentation. All received raw materials and packaging follow Natural and Non-prescription Health Product (NNHPD) regulations and to ensure quality compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Qualifications/ Behavioral Requirements:
Attendance
Quality Control Certificate, HACCP or Food Safety Certificate, Regulatory Affairs Certificate or industry experience.
Heavy Lifting involved must be able to lift 25-35kg.
Knowledge and understanding of GMP and Health Canada Regulations for natural health products and food
Organization- must possess the ability to organize and manage the implementation of multiple worklists
Detail-oriented and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to handle strict deadlines and work under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Adhere to Good Documentation Practices and record keeping
Making recommendations to improve efficiencies and productivity
Conduct, record, review, filling and data entry of various information for the purpose of maintaining accurate records
Collect and compile data; ATP swabs of incoming materials if required.
Work closely with Receiving and production staff in the areas of allergens, WADA (banned ingredients) , Organic, Allergen/Gluten Free) Kosher, Informed Sport
Conduct swabbing, environmental sampling, packaging inspections, weight checks, sanitation validation and processing verifications as required.
Perform and document inspection of incoming Raw Materials, Packaging, Returned Products
Perform standard procedures for returned products per SOP for Handling of Returned Products
Complete Quarantine/NCR/Hold tag and Forms for non-conforming materials or products
Promptly communicate any issues that may affect the product safety and quality of the Finished Goods being produced throughout the shift to the QA Manager/General Manager and the QA team
Inspection of incoming raw and packaging materials.
Other duties:
Assist with or perform the duties of other QA when required.
- Cross training in other positions with in the Quality department.
