Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Montreal/Toronto, ON (Remote for now)
Duration: 12+ months contract (Possible extension and conversion to FTE)
Schedule: 7 hours /day 35hrs / week.
Selling Points of Position: this is a growing area in the bank. Lot of growth opportunities and ability to touch different data warehouses. And its for wealth management business.
Best Vs Average Candidate: Ideal candidate will have string technical skills like SQL, Python and visualization and ETL. second thing is to be able to pick up business fairly quickly.
How will performance be measured: we work in Agile pods, and they are provided with tickets, performance will be to complete tickets on time and with quality.
Job Description:
Summary:
The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical Data Analyst is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.
Responsibilities:

Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Strong knowledge of database management software.
Skills:
Review and approve the testing of programs or databases.
Review existing databases and database management systems and direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
Coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
Approve, schedule, plan and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
Develop standards and guidelines to guide the use and acquisition of software and to protect vulnerable information.
Education/Experience: Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
Must Have:
1. Experience with ETL experience: 5 years
2. Experience with SQL language: 5 years
3. Relationship management ability
4. Strong business acumen
5. Working with data management/data engineering: 5 YEARS
6. IFRS 17 experience
Nice to have:
Bilingual (Eng/FR)
Agile pods exp
Python and visualization
