Solution Architect with a strong background on ServiceNow and exposure to
Microsoft Azure/O365, SharePoint
and Integration platforms. This resource is to support 2022 divisional
ServiceNow
projects and other BAU activities within Corporate Services Technology
portfolios.
Knowledge & Skills
- Degree in
Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and
Math) - 5+ years of
hands on experience working with ServiceNow SaaS solution
design and architecture - 5+ years of
system and solution architecture experience - 7+ years of
experience in overseeing the development activities, ensuring architectural
integrity are maintained
throughout the project lifecycle - Strong
presentation skills and ability describe architectural designs for approvals at
various management
levels - Experience
working within a complex multi-cloud, hybrid and virtualized datacenter
environment - Knowledge of
architecture design artifacts such as Solution Architecture Document - Proficient in
creating technical and architectural diagrams, and presentation of solution
designs to various
stakeholders. - Exposure to
Microsoft Azure/O365, SharePoint, IBM Integration platforms would be an asset - Architecture
Certifications such as TOGAF and CDMP would be an asset
Resource Responsibilities
- Lead the
practice and introduce the overall technical vision for ServiceNow to various project team members
and clients. - Research,
evaluate, plan, design, align and define Solution Architecture that provide a
sound foundation for
the development, operation, support and maintenance of systems at CLIENT. - Develop and
present architectural viewpoints, models and designs to map out and/or evolve components of
the solution architecture with the focus on specification of components, integration
points and frameworks, while ensuring compliance with EA principles, policies, standards and
blueprints. - Provide
recommendations to CLIENT and Information Technology Cluster (ITC) management
and project teams
on a variety of initiatives.

- Provide
evaluation of possible technical solution as part of business ideation intake
process. - Recommend
technical solution options which will drive automated processes and/or minimize internal
sourcing needs, matched with corporate environment. - Appropriately
select project technology stack that meets all functional and with
non-functional requirements
accounting for project constraints. - Describe the
structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders
throughout the project life cycle. - Provide
recommendation to project scope based on defined roadmaps while communicating directly with
key stakeholders such as enterprise architects, developers, and clients. - Work with
vendors to develop and implement specific aspects of the solution, considering
costs and timelines.
Innovation
- Provide
evaluation of technology innovation with business needs by leading or
participating in proof of
concept projects. - Develop, model
and apply enterprise-wide references to processes, information models, application
and technical architectures as they relate to projects. - Keep abreast
of industry trends and internal strategies and directions through publications, research
papers, personal networks and vendors to identify opportunities for CLIENT
Governance
- Conduct user
interface reviews, determine impacts of infrastructure change and ensure
solutions are aligned
with corporate strategy, objectives and architectural principles - Conduct
architectural reviews and integrate, as required, legislative requirements and
business processes. - Periodically
assess current architecture for components at risk of obsolescence, and
identify opportunities
for investment/remediation or replacement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of

system and solution architecture experience - Proficient

Microsoft Azure/O365, SharePoint and IBM Integration platforms (IBM WebSphere
Message Broker, MQ & IIB)
Skill Requirements/Qualifications:
The following are minimum qualifications and/or experience for the delivery of the Services:
The Resource must have the following minimum qualifications or experience:
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience working in technical Information Technology roles within complex enterprise environments
Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing solution architectures on projects across n-tiered platforms
Expert knowledge of Information Architecture principles and techniques, data management, data integration and data quality platforms and tools.
Expert knowledge in at least one enterprise ETL tool
Minimum of three (3) years of experience working architecting solutions involving complex integration scenarios (multi-platform, competing technologies, SaaS and PaaS, Software as a Service)
Knowledge of process re-engineering principles, requirements gathering, and middleware management
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple non-technical terms for various audiences
Ability to adapt to change in dynamically evolving situations
Ability to work in a team environment
Minimum 5+ years experience working in an Enterprise Architect role.
Experience communicating and presenting to senior executive management.
Minimum 5+ years experience developing and implementing standards, principles, guidelines, strategies and roadmaps for the enterprise.
Excellent customer service skills
Preferred qualifications or experience:
Enterprise Architecture certifications such TOGAF, Zachmann, and ITIL.
